Privacy Notice
This is an English translation provided for information purposes. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.
This privacy notice has been prepared by Yusuf Ziya Halıcıoğlu Law Office, in its capacity as data controller, pursuant to Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), concerning the processing of the personal data of visitors to this website and of persons who use the contact and appointment form.

2. Personal data processed
- Identity and contact data: full name, telephone number, email address.
- Request data: the subject selected in the contact form and the content of the message.
- Transaction security data: IP address, date and time, and browser information technically recorded by the hosting infrastructure when the website is accessed.
- Anonymous visitor statistics: the page viewed, the referring website, approximate location (country, region and city) and device type. This information is kept in aggregate form without IP addresses or cookies and is not linked to any identified or identifiable person.
3. Purposes of processing
- Receiving and assessing appointment and contact requests and responding to you,
- Initiating the contractual process for legal services,
- Ensuring the security of the website and preventing misuse,
- Compiling anonymous statistics on the use of the website,
- Fulfilling obligations arising from legislation.
4. Legal grounds and method of collection
Your personal data is collected electronically through the form on the website and by automated means while the website is being used. This data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: the processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (c), it is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations (ç), and it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject (f).
5. Transfer of personal data
The website and the contact form run on the infrastructure of the hosting service provider Netlify, Inc. (United States of America). Data submitted through the form is stored on this service provider's servers, and this transfer is carried out in accordance with the procedures and safeguards laid down in Article 9 of the KVKK. Apart from this, your personal data may be transferred only to public authorities and institutions legally authorised to request it, upon their request and to the extent permitted by the legislation.
6. Retention period
Contact requests that do not result in a lawyer–client relationship are deleted within a reasonable period after the request has been dealt with. Data relating to requests that result in a client relationship is retained for the retention periods laid down in the relevant legislation.
7. Rights of the data subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about such processing,
- learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose,
- know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom the data is transferred,
- request the rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data and request its erasure or destruction under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK,
- request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
- object to a result that is to your detriment arising from the analysis of the data exclusively by automated systems,
- claim compensation for any damage you suffer as a result of unlawful processing.
8. Applications
You may submit requests concerning your rights in writing, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller, to the address above or to avukatyusufziya@gmail.com. Applications are concluded free of charge within thirty days at the latest, depending on their nature.
